Sunshine is on the horizon which can only mean one thing: Festival season!
This year at the Lakeside Theatre we bring you the Homegrown Festival, a fortnight of performances with strong links to the University of Essex. Here's Lakeside boss Pasco Kevlin on what's coming up:

In this time of year when we come together to set up our allotments, ride tandems to work and make our own cheese and pickle sandwiches; the Lakeside Theatre presents the Homegrown Festival – the perfect start to summer!

We are extremely excited and proud to bring to you work that has been made here at the University of Essex or brought to us by our close regional partners.  Professional theatre makers sit comfortably alongside staff songwriters all with one burning ambition to provide you with a unique evening of entertainment and cultural enrichment.

Pasco Kevlin
Lakeside Theatre Artistic Director

And here's a sneak preview of the festival lineup for your delectation. Tickets will go on sale very soon, watch this space......

More information about each show will be made available before the Summer programme begins....
