This biopic tells the story of Sophie Scholl, a courageous young member of the student activist group The White Rose.

Unwavering in her convictions, her interrogation by the Gestapo quickly escalates into a searing test of wills as Scholl delivers a passionate call to freedom and personal responsibility that is both haunting and timeless.

Screened in collaboration with Moving Image. Moving Image and Reelappeal are projects of Wivenhoe Film Theatre. Screenings at Lakeside Theatre, University of Essex and the Phillip Road Centre in Wivenhoe.
